The heat is in full effect in Sacramento, California and that can only mean one thing: Summer is here! We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of summer for various reasons at Marin Design Co. Projects are finishing up, weddings are aplenty, and kids are out for the summer. The whole team is jet setting over the next few months and we want to take you with us! From fashion finds to travel necessities, we have it all covered. We are going global this summer, where you will find us relaxing at the beach in Cabo, singing our hearts out to Taylor Swift in Germany, and taking romantic trips to Italy.
Sipping margaritas at the pool, with Kindle in hand is the vibe for Marin's trip to Cabo. Cabo is the perfect place to wear fun colors, while still not having to be too dressy. Swimsuits and coverups are a must, and we have included our favorites. Dresses and sets are perfect to throw on after a day at the beach or pool before dinner!
South of France
The South of France has been a bucket list destination of ours forever! While Marin checks this off her list, we'll be living vicariously through the pictures we remind her to take. The theme of our European outfits include linen, pops of red, classic styles, Reformation (they're summer pieces are just too good!), and more linen!
Germany
Heading north, Marin travels to Germany to meet up with friends, explore Hamburg, and see Taylor Swift of course (Outfit for Taylor TBD). She'll be mixing in her South of France 'fits, but wanted to add some more street fashion pieces.
Martha's Vineyard & Maine
Coming back stateside, our adventures continue to Martha's Vineyard followed by a roadtrip up to Maine. Both trips will be spend connecting with family on the East Coast. Elsa will join Marin as they spend time on a small island in Maine, collecting sand dollars, eating lobsters, and enjoying family cookouts. We are looking forward to relaxing boat rides and reading by the water.
Italy
Marin has had her time to travel abroad, so it's her turn to hold down the fort at the office while we have some European fun! Elsa and Katie are heading to Italy with their partners. Katie will be on her honeymoon, while Elsa is exploring Italy with her boyfriend. Our trips will be filled with pasta, pizza, and lots of aperol spritzs! We'll be traveling all over Italy between the two of us, including Lake Como, Milan, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Rome, and more.
Travel Essentials
We have rounded up our travel essentials, including our most used luggage and handy travel gadgets. The luggage scale is one of our favorites, it is compact and makes sure we are always under the weight limit. These adapters are essential because they include USB ports and can power multiple items at the same time.
