Marin has always been drawn to make even the most simple things beautiful. What started as a fierce passion, Marin channeled her innate sense of style and artistic eye into a fulfilling and sustainable career. With a Masters in Social Work from USC, Marin explored her options in that field but felt pulled to the world of design. After renovating multiple homes with her husband, Marin took the leap and founded Marin Design Co. (MDC) in 2020. MDC started as a one-woman endeavor in Marin’s home office, but quickly outgrew the small space. In 2022, MDC expanded into an office in Sacramento, CA with a growing team.

 

To Marin, beautiful design is a coalescence of small details that are intentional and meticulously developed. She founded her business on this ideal and uses it as a basis for every project. MDC specializes in luxury, residential design ranging from furnishings, full remodels, to new builds. MDC serves to bring its projects a high-end, cohesive and timeless design. 

 

As Principal Designer and Owner of MDC, Marin oversees all projects, but her passion lies with construction design. She finds solitude and creative expression through designing personalized homes, especially cabinetry. Marin takes inspiration from natural materials, all things vintage, and local art. By intentionally blending design styles and finding a balance between old and new, Marin curates a harmonious and effortless feel for her projects.

 

Marin resides in Davis, California with her husband, three sons, and two dogs. When she is not working you can find her at her daily workout class, spending time with her sons, traveling, indulging in a glass of wine (or two!), and most likely working!
